Anita’s Perfect Filet Mignon with Creamy Mashed Potato and Minty Salad

A perfect way to cook juicy and tender Filet Mignon at home using a Cast Iron skillet. A very satisfying meal for your Valentine. Enjoy and spread the LOVE!

Ingredients

2 Filet Mignon Steaks

Salt and freshly ground black pepper TT(to taste)

2 Tablespoon butter

1 Teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon Pomegranate glaze

1 spring of sage.

Preparation

  1. Season filet mignon steaks generously on both sides with salt and pepper and let it sit over the counter for at least an hour after being in the refrigerator to come at room temperature.
  2. Pre-heat oven at 375 grades Farenheit.
  3. Use a large cast iron skillet over high heat for 3 to 4 minutes. Add oil and sear steaks for about 2 minutes on each side to create a delicious brown crust.
  4. Remove from heat. Add Worcestershire sauce, pomegranate glaze, sage, and butter.
  5. Place skillet in oven and bake for 5-7 minutes approximately for a medium-well done steak depending on the sickness.
  6. Remove from oven and let it rest cover with foil for about 5-7 minutes until ready to serve. A refreshing cucumber, tomato minty-lemony salad(see my site for recipe) next to a creamy mashed potato added a perfect pairing to this delicious Filet Mignon steaks.
