Anita’s Crunchy and Delicious Stove-top Cheese Crisps-Frico

Spread the love

These Homemade cheese crisps, also known as Frico are very simple to make with only one ingredient, just by using one cheese or mix of cheeses of your preference. You can make them with Parmesan, Asiago, Mozzarella or Pecorino Romano cheese as I did. Then, they can be shaped and used as an eatable bowl for your salads adding a delicious crunch and also, you can have them alone as a snack. Great for anyone who has a gluten-free, grain-free, or low-carb diet. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 cup of Pecorino Romano cheese, grated

Preparation

1.- Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle an even layer of cheese to cover bottom of the pan. Cook until cheese barely has bubbles, almost completed melted or has turned golden brown for about 2 to 3 minutes.

2. Slightly remove with spatula and place over a bowl of your choice and shape sides bending down. Let it cool and then place on a serving plate.

3. Place salad inside cheese crisp. A delicious Caesar salad will be great on it. (See recipe on my site).
