Anita’s Delicious Upside-Down Apple Cinnamon Rolls

This is a yummy, yummy and super easy cake to make. Flaky and spongy cinnamon rolls topped with a delicious layer of caramelized fresh honey crisp apples. Share the Love and enjoy!

Ingredients

4 Honey Crisp apples or any of your choice, diced

3 Tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon granulated white sugar

juice of 1 lemon

1 teaspoon pumpkin spice

1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground

1/3 teaspoon allspice

1 can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls with frosting

Preparation

  1. Grease a glass pie pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Heat oven to 350 grades Farenheit.
  3. In a large bowl combine apples with spices, sugars and lemon juice. Cook in microwave for about 10 minutes, until slightly tender. They will finish cooking in the oven.
  4. Place apples in the bottom of glass pie pan.
  5. Arrange cinnamon rolls on top of apples. 
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until cinnamon rolls puffed up and golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and let it rest for 15 minutes. Carefully turn the pie plate into a serving plate.
  8. Drizzle frosting over the top. Warm to the heart. Spread the Love and Enjoy with vanilla ice cream YUM!
